Private Jewellery Tuition
Private Jewellery Tuition
Suitable for absolute beginners, or new jewellers with some workshop experience.
This half or full day mentoring workshop gives you the opportunity to bring your own project to the bench and benefit from one-to-one mentoring and expert tuition in my fully-equipped Chiswick studio. Depending on your project, I will help you develop your designs, master a challenging new technique, or refresh your skillset and build your confidence.
Included in the price is access to all my workshop tools (although if you have your own you are welcome to bring them), base metal as needed for your project, and sundries such as sterling silver solder. Sterling sufficient to make two stacking rings, or two pairs of earrings is also included. If you require addition sterling silver, gold, or any gemstones, this will incur an additional charge.
I will be in touch with you following booking to schedule your workshop, talk through your project and requirements, and discuss any additional materials you may require. Before booking please make sure you have fully read the additional information below, which includes important Health & Safety information.
Please note that this is a working studio - it’s not always beautifully instagrammable, but hopefully at the end of the session you will have completed or progressed something you can be proud of!

accessibility
My workshop is at the top of a steep and narrow staircase, which unfortunately may not be suitable for all students.
I am not trained, cleared or insured to teach children under 18, or to teach adults with additional learning needs, and so regretfully I am unable to accommodate such requests.
It is not possible to have children under 18 in the workshop, even as observers.
health & safety
A full health and safety briefing will be provided at the start of the workshop where students will be taught how to use jewellery tools and machinery safely. Students will then be responsible for their own health and safety while in the workshop.
Please wear casual clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. If you have an apron, you are welcome to bring one. Please avoid loose fabric or sleeves, as this could pose a hazard, and please do not wear open toed shoes (e.g. sandals or flip flops). Long hair must be tied back while in the workshop.
